Crossroads Buyers Club

 

What is it?

• A group of people pooling their purchases of natural, mostly organic food and grocery items.

• Buyers purchase in amounts that make sense for them, and by pooling purchases across all buyers a cost savings is achieved for everyone.

• For each order, buyers select shares in full cartons of items.

• When enough shares are purchased for a given item to come to a full carton quantity, the item is included in the bulk order.

 

 

Where does Crossroads obtain the merchandise?

• We buy the items primarily from Unfi (the largest natural foods distributor in the US) and from Tierra Farms, an all-organic farm from the Hudson Valley specializing in dried fruits and nuts.

• We also include fresh produce from our farm and other local growers when in season.

• The list of items available to the club is wide-ranging, and we are able to add items as requested by members.

 

 

How does it work?

• After joining, you receive a user name and pin by email.

• You access our secure, web-based ordering system.

• As you view and consider purchasing shares in an item, you can see the shares selected by others; this provides transparency and allows you to see how well any item is selling.

• To purchase an item, you click “Buy” for each share you wish to purchase. The size of each share is clearly indicated. You may buy as many shares of any given item as you wish.

• You can “sell” purchased shares at any time up to the order closing date.

• You can optionally purchase items from your last order with a single mouse click.

• At any time, you can see what your purchased items are and the total charge for your order. Only items that are purchased in whole carton quantities (when your purchase is pooled with the other buyers) are included in the final order. The net amount of your order is final when the order period closes.

• On the given order pick up day, you visit the Crossroads Farm store to pay for your order and pick it up

• There is a one-time $15 registration charge for new members.
