Sunshine Days Camp Adventure!

Crossroads Farm is happy to announce that we will be hosting a day camp program right here at the farm. It will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm during the first two weeks in August (the 4th, 6th, 11th, and 13th), rain or shine. The price for both weeks is $60, the price for one week is $30, and the price for an individual day pass is $20. We are accepting children between the ages of 8 and 10, but we are flexible to a child of any age who wants to have fun on the farm! Our themes for each day will include gardening, farming and farm animals; art and its influence found in the environment; food and nutrition; and insects. It's tomato time!!!!! We are currently in that perfect time of the season when tomatoes are in abundant supply. If you're looking to make a sauce, a salad, or even a sandwich, we have a great variety of tomatoes for you to choose from. We are offering our own organic cherry tomatoes, San Marzano tomatoes, roma tomatoes, iron lady tomatoes, German Johnson tomatoes, sunkist tomatoes, and yellow brandywine tomatoes. "Bee Friendly Day" was a success! Thank you for everyone who came by the farm to learn all about the honeybees and how important they are to all of us. We hope you had fun listening to our speakers and bringing the children to paint, pollinate, and dance like bees. In keeping with our honeybee theme, we are happy to report that it is finally summer harvesting time for our own Crossroads Farm honeybees! Bee Friendly Day is this weekend! We would love to share our passion about the honeybees with you this Saturday July 11th from 1 pm to 4 pm for our FREE awareness event to support the honeybees. We will have presentations from our beekeeper, a local biologist, and our greenhouse manager. You will learn all about honeybees, the crisis they're facing, and how organic gardening can make the difference. We will also have plenty of fun activities for little ones, including story time, a bee dance game, bee's wax modeling, and a pollination experiment.
