This Week at the Farm Stand and Market
Sunshine Days at Crossroads Farm is currently happening and it isn't too late to join! The next three sessions will occur tomorrow August 6th, Tuesday August 11th, and Thursday August 13th. In order to register for tomorrow, next week, or any individual day, please email education@nassaulandtrust.org or stop by Crossroads Farm to fill out forms and submit your payment. We hope to see you soon!

Featured at the farm stand this week:
We are featuring assorted natural and organic candies from YumEarth including gummy bears, jelly beans, candy drops, and lollipops. We have a variety of yummy organic Newman's Own sweets like soft raisin cookies, sandwich cookies, fig cookies, licorice candies, and chocolate peanut butter cups. Also highlighted in the farm stand this week are our fresh picked bouquets of mixed flowers, bunches of our own organic dried herbs, our own fresh cut sunflowers, and handmade greeting cards.




Fresh from the farm:
This week we are offering our own organic bunches of fresh herbs, green beans, broccoli, zucchini, yellow summer squash, crooked neck squash, carrots, turnips, radishes, butternut squash, a variety of tomatoes, zapallitos (a green, round squash native to South America), kale, swiss chard, cucumbers, eggplant, garlic, and burgundy okra.






Fresh produce from other farms:
New to the farm stand this week are clara bell eggplant and black bell eggplant from Stone Ridge Farm, organic pea shoots from Ironwood Farms, bunched red onions and beets from Markisto Farms, and organic ginger from A & A Organics. Also returning this week to the farm stand from other farms are organic cocktail heirloom tomatoes, organic jumbo yellow onions, organic shishito peppers, organic jalapeno peppers, organic jumbo garnet yams, organic yellow potatoes, and organic mini savoy cabbage.



Corn season is still going strong!
Purchase your sweet summer corn to grill, boil, top salads, or make chowder from our farm stand. This local Long Island corn from Calverton will make the perfect addition to any or all of your summertime occasions.

Flowers are still 50% off this week at the farm stand! Come and get your flats, hanging baskets, or mixed pots of all sizes while supplies last.


Fresh from the greenhouse:
For anyone who wants to plant a late summer garden or still has room for a few more plants, we luckily have some supplies left; get them while they're hot! Available for planting, we have thyme, lavender, mint, sage, arugula, shallot, king crimson peppers, fordhook giant swiss chard, black beauty eggplant, chives, oregano, and basil.
