Farm Retail and Event Staff

Position Overview:
Crossroads Farm is seeking friendly, dependable, and hardworking individuals to join our Farm
Retail & Events Team for the 2026 season. This role plays an important part in both our farm
market operations and our public events, helping create a welcoming and engaging
experience for visitors. Retail staff assist customers, sell farm-grown products, maintain the farm stand, and support the many events that take place on the farm throughout the season. Because Crossroads Farm hosts a variety of seasonal events, workshops, and community programs, this position requires individuals who are comfortable interacting with the public and helping facilitate event activities. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is enthusiastic about community engagement, and has an interest in local food and farming.
Responsibilities:
Farm Retail Operations

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and welcoming manner

Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash, card, and other transactions

Answer customer questions about farm products, produce, flowers, and farm programs

Restock produce, flowers, and other farm goods as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive retail and farm stand area

Assist with daily setup and closing procedures of the farm market

Monitor product displays and communicate inventory needs to farm staff
Farm Events & Programs

Assist with setup and breakdown for farm events, workshops, and seasonal programs

Help manage retail sales and guest experiences during events

Welcome visitors and help direct them around the farm

Support event activities, check-ins, and general guest assistance

Help maintain organization and cleanliness of event areas throughout the day

Work closely with farm staff to ensure events run smoothly
Schedule & Availability

Seasonal position running April through November
-
Primary workdays are Saturdays and Sundays

Open weekday availability is preferred to assist with additional market days, events,
-
and special programs

Must be available to work many scheduled farm events throughout the season
Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills

Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with the public

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system (training provided)

Interest in local agriculture, farming, or community programming is a plus
-
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to approximately 30 lbs.
