In Bloom

And just like that, we’re back for another season! The snow is melting, plans are unfolding, the persistence of long winter days are coming to an end. There are echoes throughout the farm again, seeds are getting sown, ideas are blooming and soon enough there will be crops and flowers covering our fields and filling your baskets!
This year the farm is embracing a Pick-Your-Own Flower CSA model, inviting members to wander the fields, harvest their own blooms, and thoughtfully curate a bouquet that is uniquely their own.

Flowers have a way of grounding me. They require me to slow down and practice patience, especially in a world where everyone moves at maximum speed. Instead of planting the seed and then impatiently waiting for the first bouquet of the year, I try to appreciate every step of the cycle. Spring shows us the rebirth of the earth. We are welcomed by fresh snow-watered soil, baby bunnies, volunteer plants, Killdeer Mama birds laying her eggs in the middle of our fields, all which we may not get the opportunity to see if the flowers were a handful of feet in the air in full bloom and the crops were bushy and prolific with food.

With this experience, we hope to share the simple gift that we are fortunate to receive each day at the farm: a moment to slow down and reconnect with the land. Among the flower fields, there is space to release the stress of everyday life, breathe deeply, and be present. It is a place to create, to reset, and to gather—where beauty grows not only in the gardens, but in the moments shared with old friends, new faces, and the farmers who care for the land

We hope that March reminds you that brighter days are here and new beginnings are amongst us! Enjoy the slow start to what will soon be a summer in full bloom! Sow your seeds, open your windows, start the new routines and get ready to join us for an amazing season here on the farm!
